The Division of Administration and Finance is responsible for managing the University's $205 million operating budget, $250 million of physical assets, and 710 acres of land while providing a safe and effective environment of learning, discovery and work for the University's 1,400 employees and 9,500 students.

Jeffrey Augustine, Director of Campus Services, Campus Services

Jeffrey S. Augustine was appointed Director of Campus Services in 2004, and has worked at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for 17 years in several positions. As Director of Campus Services at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, he oversees the Auxiliary operations which include Dining Services, Campus Store, Conference Office, UMass Pass Office, Parking, mailroom and print shop operations. Prior to his service at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Jeff held managerial roles in retail management. Mr. Augustine is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and earned his Masters degree in Education from Bridgewater State University.

Ian Day, Athletic Director, Athletics

Ian S. Day was appointed Director of Athletics in September 2007, following a twenty four year tenure at Tiffin University, OH, where he served in a number of capacities including: Vice President for Campus Services (3 years), Director of Athletics (17 years), Director of Admissions (5 years) & Head Men's Soccer Coach (24 years) where under Day's tenure, his teams averaged 16 wins a season. He earned seven Coach of the Year honors while compiling a record of 345-139-28 (.713). Mr. Day is a graduate of Alderson Broaddus College, WV and earned his MBA from Purdue University.

Peter Duffy

Peter Duffy, Associate Vice Chancellor, Facilities Management

Peter Duffy was appointed Associate Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management in 2012.  In this role, he will serve as the University’s chief design and building official, providing leadership to facility operations, planning, design, construction, maintenance, custodial operations and grounds.  Prior to coming to UMass Dartmouth, Pete has had over 30 years experience in planning, design, construction and facilities operations.  The past 12 years as Vice President of Facility Operations, Construction and Support Service in New Haven, CT at the Saint Raphael Healthcare System, the 4th largest healthcare system in Connecticut.  Pete earned his BS in Civil Engineering from UMass Dartmouth.

Emil Fioravanti, Chief of Police, Public Safety 

Emil R. Fioravanti was appointed as the Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety in March of 2006 after four year tenure at Brown University Department of Public Safety as the Executive Officer.  At Brown University, his areas of responsibility included interim, chief of police, director of line operations, executive protection, liaison to student affairs and internal affairs.  Prior to his tenure at Brown, he served 26 years with the Providence Police Department serving in patrol, criminal investigations, training, and internal affairs units. The Chief is a graduate of Providence College, holds an MPA from the University of Rhode Island and an MS in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven.

Donna Massano, CIO and Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, CITS

Donna Ritenour Massano, CIO and Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, is responsible for the strategic oversight of information technology (IT) and its general operation at UMass Dartmouth. Joining UMass Dartmouth from the private sector in 1982, Donna has dedicated her career to building a team based IT organization in CITS and to launching initiatives to improve IT for the campus community. Her most recent initiatives include leading a campus-wide ‘living’ IT Strategic Planning effort, developing a Virtual Computing Lab (VCL), launching a WiMax pilot, and obtaining a grant to implement a UMass Dartmouth portal. Ms. Massano  has also taught programming and systems analysis and design courses in the Computer and Information Science Department and Business School.

Marilyn Presto, Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Services, Administration & Finance

Marilyn Scudellari-Presto was appointed as the Budget Director in September 2010. Marilyn has worked in both private and public sectors in financial management; most recently in a financial management role with Charlotte County government. Prior to her five year tenure in county government, she served as a fiscal analyst with Abbott Laboratories. Ms. Presto is a graduate of Springfield College and earned an MBA at Babson College.

Carol Santos, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, Human Resources

Carol Santos is the Chief Human Resources Officer for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She has responsibility for recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee and labor relations. Joining the University community in 2006, Carol is a graduate of Roger Williams University and possesses 25 years of human resources and management experience.

Sheila M. Whitaker, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Organizational Development

 Sheila M. Whitaker was appointed Assistant Vice Chancellor of Organizational Development in 2011. She has over 20 years experience in supporting the professional development of teams and individuals. More than half of her career has been in a customer service capacity overseeing the Business Planning and Call Center organizations at NSTAR Electric & Gas and Haemonetics. Sheila is experienced in project management oversight of strategic initiatives as well as developing and executing operating plans designed to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and achieve performance targets. Sheila earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Bentley College and her Masters in Business Administration at Babson College, the F.W Olin Graduate School of Business.
