Deborah McLaughlin as the Vice Chancellor of A&F is the chief financial and administrative officer of UMass Dartmouth and is responsible for Athletics, Campus Services, Computer and Information Technology Services (CITS), Facilities Planning, Design & Construction, Financial Services, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Public Safety as described below:
- Athletics
Responsible for 25 intercollegiate sports for men and women, numerous intramural programs, a variety of instructional classes, and many recreational opportunities. - Campus Services
Responsible as the center for providing services related to Conference and Event Planning, Dining and Catering Services, One Card Services(UMass Pass), Campus Center, Main Auditorium, Mail Room Services, Parking Services, Print Services, Student Mail and Package Services, and Woodland Commons operations and programming. - Computer and Information Technology Services
Responsible for access management, information system development, system security, project support, multi-media technical support and for providing assistance to students, faculty and staff. - Facilities Planning, Design & Construction
Responsible for providing infrastructure services including the general maintenance of campus grounds and facilities, special events, parking, utilities and energy management, building operations, project management, design services and logistics, physical planning, safety, and security. - Financial Services
Responsible for the recording and reporting of the financial activities of the University’s units, and the high-level monitoring of the integrity of financial transactions. - Human Resources
Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures affecting the working conditions of all staff, the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, as well as pension administration, benefits and pay, and the development and implementation of salary policies for all staff at the University. - Organizational Development
Design, implement and lead organization-wide learning and development, career planning, and management succession. Also responsible for planning, analyzing and directing the development of management structure through organization design, alignment and accountability to support the creation of an inclusive environment. - Public Safety
Provides a comprehensive program of police and public safety services to ensure civility and the protection of life and property.
