Get Involved

Orientation Leaders

College is a lot more than classrooms and lectures. We believe that the best education extends beyond academics. We want you to become involved in programs, clubs and activities—on and off campus—to meet all sorts of people, continue with old interests, and explore new ones.

With more than 100 student organizations, there's sure to be a club (or two or three) that will appeal to you. Clubs vary in nature, from recreational, to academic and professional, to social activism.

MacLean Campus Center

A lot of what happens on campus happens at the Campus Center. It's where you'll eat lunch or have coffee, and buy books and magazines; where bands and other performers appear; where you can watch TV, attend a club meeting, read, study, or just hang out.

Speak up, act out

Reach out

Many students like to give their time and talent to social service agencies or special causes. The Community Service arm of the Career Resource Center steers students to volunteer initiatives and community service organizations, some of which offer for-credit or work-study programs. Students are encouraged to participate in events such as Make a Difference Day, join groups like Habitat for Humanity, and help others through groups like America READS.
