Since graduating from UMass Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, Michelle White’s nursing career has taken her from Rhode Island to Texas, delivering care across different fields in various settings.
For White, nursing has provided the platform for her to advocate for patients, staff, family and friends. She integrates a holistic approach to healing and wellness throughout her career that began on a medical surgical unit at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. Her professional and leadership experiences include working in medical surgical hospitals, child and adolescent psychiatric hospitals, residential programs for detox and poly addictions, as well as developing a health care academy in high schools and at the University of Texas at Arlington. White is currently the director of nursing at Eating Recovery Center in Plano, Texas.
She lives with her husband in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and visits New England frequently to see family and friends, cheer on the New England Patriots and, of course, visit UMassD.
