Abstract: Projects have become a primary form of delivering change/improvement in organizations. Successful project outcomes need a good project planning process in addition to a sound execution process. This one-day workshop is designed to provide an overview of the fundamentals of project management using intensive team-based activities to support learning by doing. This workshop aims to focus on how to develop good project plans and strategies in project execution process with the help of user-friendly and ready to use project management templates.
Lead Faculty
Professor Yuzhu Li
Prof. Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision & Information Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®). Her area of expertise includes teamwork in projects, coordination within single project team and among multiple projects, and team flexibility. Her work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals including International Journal of Project Management, Journal of Systems and Software, and Information and Management, etc.
Dr. Bharatendra Rai
Dr. Rai is a faculty member at the Charlton College of Business and has over ten years of consulting and training experience to industries in the area of Six-Sigma, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, Taguchi Methods, Statistical Process Control, and ISO/QS 9000 Quality Management Systems. He has also worked with several Master Black-belts and Black-belts on six-sigma projects at Ford Motor Company.
