Insights: Six-sigma has been successfully implemented by companies such as GE, Ford, Motorola, Microsoft, and 3M to name a few. Increasingly successful applications of six-sigma methodology are being reported from healthcare, banking, hotel, and other service industries across the globe. This one-day workshop is designed to provide an introduction and understanding of six-sigma methodology to the participants. The program aims to answer questions such as what, why, when, where, who and how six-sigma process through a hands-on approach. Six-sigma has been successfully been used by companies such as GE, Ford, Motorola, Microsoft, and 3M to name a few.  

Lead Faculty

Dr. Bharatendra Rai  

Dr. Rai is a faculty member at the Charlton College of Business and has over ten years of consulting and training experience to industries in the area of Six-Sigma, Quality Engineering, Design of Experiments, Taguchi Methods, Statistical Process Control, and ISO/QS 9000 Quality Management Systems. He has also worked with several Master Black-belts and Black-belts on six-sigma projects at Ford Motor Company.

Dr. Angappa Gunasekaran  

Dr. Gunasekaran is the Director of Business Innovation Research Center (BIRC) at Charlton College of Business. He has written over 200 international journal articles and serves as Editor-in-Chief of several international business and engineering journals apart from serving on the editorial board of twenty other journals. His articles particularly on agile manufacturing, performance measures and metrics in supply chain and enterprise resource planning have received wide citations.
