Why CAB?
Welcome to 'Why Cab?' This will be the Q&A section of our tour. If you have any questions that are not answered here, check out the Main Page to get our contact info and get in touch with CAB today!

Who is CAB?
Campus Activities Board (lovingly referred to as CAB) is the student-run programming board responsible for providing the UMass Dartmouth Community with exciting, diverse, and entertaining programs. CAB consists of twelve committees and an elected seven-member executive board. Membership to the General Board is open to all UMass Dartmouth students.
What are some events CAB has done?
In the past, CAB has had Spring Concerts featuring acts such as The Roots, Ludacris, and 3 Doors Down. In 2006, CAB has invited the Virgin College MegaTour to bring Yellowcard to campus for our Spring Fest. They have also brought great Comedic acts like Dane Cook, Robert Kelly, Jay Davis and Gary Gulman to campus. Check out the Past Event Page for details on other events we've held!
Does CAB hold regular annual events?Yes! CAB's annual events, called 'Traditions' are all listed on the Traditions page. They include events like our popular One Ton Sundae, Ms. and Mr. UMD Contests, and Spring Fest! Check out the Traditions page for more details.
Who funds CAB?
CAB is funded primarily through the Student Fee Allocation Committee. This organization is funded by the students for the students! By joining CAB you have a say about how that money is spent!
Who can join CAB?
Any and every student at UMD is welcome to join CAB! We are always looking for new and interesting ideas for programs and events! Just come to a General Board meeting Wednesday nights at 6PM on the South Alcove (at the end of Commuter).

Why CAB?
Maybe you should ask *why not* CAB! By joining CAB you open yourself up to so many opportunities! You will develop leadership, organizational, and speaking skills as well as meet new people who are as interested and excited about this campus as you! The skills you learn on committees and in programming events will be valuable assets when it come to looking for a job and by joining CAB you will be making a difference in the lives of the UMass Dartmouth population!
This one goes out to Nick who is overseas but is always thinking about home and CAB!
