Textbooks can be purchased at our Campus Center location or online.
Textbooks for the Spring 2013 semester go on sale January 2013. Textbooks for PCE, Summer and Intersession go on sale when courses are confirmed to run, about two weeks before classes start. Textbooks are listed on the UMass Dartmouth COIN account, and at the Campus Store's website alphabetically by course, then by section number. Please have your course schedule with you when chosing books. Note also that there may be different choices for the same course and the list may be either/or. For instance, if you are selecting the eBook, do not also select the traditional textbook.
The Store accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, the UMass Pass Debit Card, the Campus Store Gift Card and personal checks with student ID. There is a $35.00 fee and student COIN hold for returned checks. Organizations may purchase items by submitting a detailed purchase order to the Campus Store Office. Students who will have a third party purchase textbooks should contact the Store Office in advance for assistance.
Financial Aid Book Voucher
Students may also purchase textbooks using excess financial aid or COIN statement balances by applying for a Book Voucher. Book Vouchers will be available at the beginning beginning of each Fall and Spring semesters (sorry, not available for summer or intersession.) Students who choose to transfer funds from COIN to the Campus Store in the form of a book voucher should watch for an invitation email with directions to an online application site. Students can transfer up to $600.00 (Law $750) to be used at the Campus Bookstore and website. After the add/drop period, all unspent book voucher balances transfer to the UMass Pass card. Please read the terms and conditions before selecting to transfer funds - Book vouchers cannot be reversed. Funds remain on the UMass Pass card until spent or the student graduates or officially withdraws from the University. Students who wish to purchase books online using their voucher will select book voucher at checkout.

Honor Awards
Students who are enrolled in the UMD Honors Program and are in good standing receive an amount to be used towards the purchase of textbooks and/or student materials. Award receipients may direct questions to the Campus Store Office. To use their reward, students must present their student ID to the cashier and let the cashier that they have an Honors Award. Students can use their honors award online by selecting honor award at checkout. Honors awards are for books and school supplies only and cannot be used for the $7 UPS shipping fee. Shipping and balances over the honors amount will be charged to the provided credit card.
Purchasing Textbooks Online
To purchase textbooks from our website, please have course schedule handy:
- New Customers create a username and password.
- Select textbooks.
- Choose UPS shipping ($7.00 flat rate) or in-store pick to take advantage of our Textbook Reservation Service.
The Campus Store accepts Visa, Master-Card, the Campus Store Gift Card, honors awards and book vouchers online. Sorry, honors awards and book vouchers cannot be used in the same online checkout. Please split your online order or purchase your books at the Dartmouth store.
Note: In order to comply with PCI regulations, credit card numbers cannot be taken by phone. Some options for parents wanting to purchase books, supplies etc. for their children include online purchasing for in store pickup or delivery, the Campus Store Gift Card and depositing funds on the students UMASS Pass Card.
