Textbooks may be returned for a full refund at the Campus Store for a limited time.
The return policy allows textbook returns through the first week of class for the fall and spring semesters, and during the first days of class for summer and intersession. Please see the bottom of your store receipt for specific return deadlines.
New texts may be returned with receipt in new condition, without marks, software seals and shrink-wrap intact. To avoid problems returning textbooks, keep your receipt in a safe place, do not mark, highlight or alter your books until after the add-drop period and you are sure that you have the correct books for your class. The Campus Store will not accept returns for books purchased for prior semesters or from other stores or websites.
Used texts can be returned with receipt using the same deadline as new, and ebooks can only be returned before activated. Trade-in rental books must be returned at the end of each semester during buyback to receive the deposit refund. Items such as the iClicker that are required for courses fall under the return policy for textbooks. Clothing and gift merchandise can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Software, electronics and study guide sales are final.
Intersession 2013: Friday, January 4, 2013 (textbooks purchased after this date are final sale and cannot be returned)
Law Spring 2013: Friday, January 18, 2013
UMD Spring 2013: Tuesday, January 29, 2013
As a general rule, once any semester ADD/DROP Period has expired, all textbooks, iClickers, and online code sales final.
