- Lauren Watka (2008) has entered the graduate program in Environmental Studies at Brown University.
- Samantha Hale (2010) spent the summer as a marine mammal researcher in Australia, and is now in New Zealand volunteering at the Orca Research Trust.

Thank you to alumni and friends who have contributed to the UMass Dartmouth Foundation and designated the Biology Department as the recipient of the funds. We plan to use your contributions to buy much-needed laboratory equipment for our courses.
