The Department of Public Policy is an academic department of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. We offer a graduate program that leads to a Master of Public Policy (MPP) with the following concentrations:

  • Educational Policy

  • Environmental Policy

  • Public Management

In addition to the MPP program, we also offer graduate certificates in the following areas:

Our graduate programs in public policy are meant to prepare students for careers in the public arena. Our graduate certificate programs provide a foundation in public policy principles with specialization courses in either education or environmental policy. Our MPP program prepares students for careers in a variety of policy-related fields including: management, planning, policy analysis, and program evaluation. Graduates work in a variety of sectors, both public and private. Recent graduates have gone on to work for government, non-profits, private organizations, and consultant organizations.
