Bio: Catherine Houser has worked as a journalist and special sections editor for The Arizona Republic; as a public relations representative for Paramount Pictures, the Phoenix Art Museum, and the City of Phoenix; and as a freelance writer for Seventeen Magazine and Advertising Age, among many others. She is one of the founding editors of the literary journal Hayden’s Ferry Review and served for many years as a fiction editor for Sojourner. Her short stories and essays have been published in Intense, The Oakland Review, The Mid-American Review, and in several anthologies including Two Worlds Walking, Frontline Feminism, and She Who Was Lost is Remembered.
