Dr William Nelles has taught at UMD since 1995. Currently serving as Director of the MAT program in English and as Director of the Spotlight Program for high school students, Nelles has also served as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Director of UMD Honors programs, among other administrative duties. He has published more than 100 books and articles on a wide range of topics, from Beowulf, Chaucer, and Shakespeare to Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones.
