Graduate Professional Writing Program
When you apply to the Professional Writing Program, you will be opening the door to new opportunities. Our Master's degree in Professional Writing is tailored to people planning or changing careers or who are already working in some of the following fields:
- Technical and Business Communication
- Journalism
- Creative Writing
- Publishing
- Writing instruction
Our students receive a solid background in rhetorical and communication theories, and extensive writing and editing experience. Our goal is to prepare students for the realities and challenges of the writing profession. We meet that goal through a broad-based writing program that allows students to focus in their main areas of interest while encouraging them to pursue courses in other areas of study in order to become more versatile writers. Our areas of study include:
