page 52	In the first sentence change the word "areas" to "area".
page 78	Exercise 27(b).  Replace  "Vx = 0"  with "Vz = 0" and on the next line change the  cn  to  cn+1.
page 81	In Exercise 12 the (1,2) block of the matrix should be O instead of C.
page 102	In the last column of Table 1 change the entry 45 to 44.
page 104	Exercise 8. It should read: "... is an elementary matrix of the same ..."
page 172	Exercise 4(b).  Replace "r = b - Ax"  with "r = b - Cx"

page 505	In Chapter Test A, answer 1 should be "true".
page 508	In answer 2 at the top of the page change the x1 and x2 to u1 and u2.
page 511	In Section 3 answers 19, 20 , and 24 are really the answers to Exercises  20, 21, and 26.
page 511	In Section 3, for  answer 22 the matrix should be

page 512	In Section 4 answers 11(b), 12, and 21 are really the answers to Exercises 12(b), 13, and 23.
page 514	The answers are numbered incorrectly in Section 4. Answer 4 is actually the answer to Exercise 7. The numbers for the following exercises (6 through 26) in that section should all be increased by 4 so that they match up correctly with the exercises Section 4 of Chapter 7. This correction carries over to the first two answers on the next page.
