Part-Time Lecturers/Instructors

 U.S. News and World Report has ranked the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth among the top northern public universities. UMass Dartmouth offers a broad range of baccalaureate and graduate degrees vital to the economic, social and cultural well being of the region. It has an enrollment of over 8,000 students in over 40 undergraduate and 23 graduate programs (including 4 at the Ph.D. level) offered by the College of Arts and Sciences, the Charlton College of Business, the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing, the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School for Marine Science and Technology.   The main campus was designed by the eminent architect Paul Rudolf and is located on 710 acres in North Dartmouth.   Other university sites include the School for Marine Science and Technology on the waterfront in New Bedford, the Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center in Fall River and the Star Store Center for the Arts in New Bedford.    

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is seeking individuals interested in part-time day or evening teaching positions. Disciplines of interest include: African/African-American Studies, Biology, Business (Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing and Business Information Systems), Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Education, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer), English (courses range from first-year English/Writing to Business Communications, Technical Writing, ESL and Literature), French, History, Mathematics, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing (Community, Adult, Psychiatric, and Maternal/Child Health), Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Portuguese, Psychology, Sociology/Anthropology, Spanish, Textile Sciences, Visual & Performing Arts (Art Education, Art History, Ceramics, Jewelry/Metals,  Drawing, Electronic Imaging, Music, Textile Design/Fiber Arts, Wood/Furniture Design, Theater, Visual/Graphic Design), and Women’s Studies. 

 Part-time Lecturers are sought for day classes on the main campus in Dartmouth. Classes follow a traditional semester schedule and are geared towards commuter and residential students.

Part-time Instructors are sought for the Division of Professional and Continuing Education. Classes follow either a seven- or fourteen-week schedule and are targeted to adult learners. Classes are held on the main Dartmouth campus as well as in locations in New Bedford, Fall River, Cape Cod and the Islands. Online courses are also offered
