Heidi Berggren Assistant Professor of Political Science and Women's Studies Ph.D. University of Colorado |
| Professor Berggren's primary research and teaching interests are social policy, women and politics, and political behavior. She is a member of UMD's Women’s Studies Executive Committee and has published articles in a variety of journals, including Political Research Quarterly, the Review of Policy Research, as well as book chapters. Her current work focuses upon American work-family policy, and she recently published an article entitled "Are Some Mothers More Equal than Others?: Class Divisions in U.S. Family Leave Policy" in the Journal of the Association for Research on Mothering. Her most recent article, "U.S. Family-Leave Policy: The Legacy of Separate Spheres," was published in the International Journal of Social Welfare. Email: hberggren@umassd.edu |
