The Consortium for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (CATLS) celebrated its inaugural year with a Faculty Luncheon Series. During the Fall 2004 series, Speaking of Food, both faculty and staff joined in a series of collegial and well-received presentations including:

  • Miriam O’Neal (English): The Gastronomy of Poetry: A Brief Reading of Food Poems as Ars Poetica  
  • Kevin Stokesbury (SMAST) Sea Scallops: Fishing for Sustainable Abundance
  • Amy Gorin (Psychology): Creating an Environment for Healthy Eating
