The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is an academic support service which provides peer tutoring and small group review sessions for UMass Dartmouth students. These support activities are provided free of charge for undergraduate courses through the three area centers of the ARC.
"Funded by a federal SSS grant aimed at retaining and graduating first-generation, low-income students for which it provides intensive services and by the University, the ARC/Writing and Reading Center opens its doors to all matriculated students wanting peer assistance with all aspects of academic and professional writing, studies in humanities and social science courses, ESOL needs, and study skills."
