Grants

Series

The Consortium for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (CATLS) co-sponsored a series of workshops and panel discussions designed to give faculty and staff the resources they need to source, write, and administer grants.

Workshops

Topics for the first session included: Grants Terminology and Sources of Grant Funds; The Sections of a Grant Proposal; Developing Goals and Objectives; and The Writing Process/Editing Tips.

Our second grants writing workshop focused on Developing a Budget, Writing Your Evaluation, Rubrics, and Dissemination Procedures.

Faculty Panel back to top

Faculty who have been granted funds from the NIH, the NEH, ORR, and the NIH as well as other federal and state agencies held a discussion of the grants process. A question and answer period followed as did a discussion of the long-term needs of faculty.

This event was co-sponsored with the Grants Office

CATLS plans to offer several more workshops and discussion groups on the grant making process during the 2005/2006 academc year. If you would like to participate in or present to one of these groups please contact Susan Jennings at sjennings@umassd.edu or 508-910-6484 or Michelle Plaud of the Grants Office at 508-999-8509.
