Computing and Information Technology Services
UMass Dartmouth’s Computing and Information Technology Services (CITS) provides a full range of IT support. Training, specialized software and software support, and repair and maintenance of hardware are available to all faculty. A few of the most frequently used services are listed below. For others, see the faculty page on the CITS Web site.
Information Technology Service Center: Call regarding problems with your computer or if you need software not already loaded onto your computer. UMass Dartmouth purchases selected software licenses and will honor requests for software related to your work.
Request a Website: You may quickly find yourself involved with a campus Web site. Building a Web site on a university server is simple if you use OmniUpdate.
OmniUpdate Training: Used at UMass Dartmouth to develop Web pages, this is a Web-based content management program.
Web Design and Development: Information on designing University web pages.
Class Listserv: You may request that CITS create a listserv for each of your classes. This is an easy way to contact the entire class at once. Once the listserv is created, in order to send a message, you must access your UMass Dartmouth email account through Webmail, even if you have your university email forwarded to a home account.
