Who is eligible to work on campus
- Only students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree or certificate program at UMD.
- Undergraduates must be taking six or more credit hours.
- Graduate students must be registered as a degree candidate.
- International students may not work more than 20 hours per week when school is in session. There are no exceptions.
- Download the New Student Position Description Form at http://www.umassd.edu/financialaid/studentemp/welcome.cfm .
- Fax the completed form to the Student Employment Office at extension 8935.
- To post a job online go to https://secure.umassd.edu/financialaid/studentemp/listings/welcome.cfm
- The job will be posted on-line at http://www.umassd.edu/financialaid/studentemp/listings/.
- Students must submit a completed hiring form to the Student Employment Office in order to be hired.
- A student who has never worked on campus before must also complete a W-4 and I-9.
- The I-9 form requires that the student present original forms of identification to the Student Employment Office. These forms of identification are described in detail on the back of the I-9.
- Do not let student employees begin work before they turn in their hiring forms. It is illegal to have someone work and not pay them.
