The Career Development Center exists to help all University of Massachusetts Dartmouth students and alumni identify and achieve their career goals. We are committed to providing resources and services to students and alumni based upon the fundamental belief that career decision-making is a lifelong process, integral to the University's educational objectives.

LIFE SCIENCES INTERNSHIP CHALLENGE - The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center has announced their Life Sciences Internship Challenge workforce development program for the upcoming year. In the summer of 2011, 219 students representing 63 colleges and universities were placed in paid internships at 128 companies across Massachusetts. This represents a strong commitment from the Life Sciences sector to provide critically important experiential learning opportunities for students considering careers in this industry. PACE/Youthbuild New Bedford is seeking six Academic Coaches, to conduct the Academic Component of the YouthBuild Program. Applicants should be skilled in math, English/writing, and Science. One position will additionally call for a background in counseling. These positions are funded by the AmeriCorps Half-time Program and follow the qualifications, terms of service and educational award guidelines.
