Advising
The Undergraduate Program Office located in the Charlton College of Business room 103 is the"one-stop-shop" for information regarding advising, program requirements, declaration and change majors, and more.
Additionally, the Office assists, freshmen with transition issues, transfer advising, students in academic difficulty, and advising sessions for each class. Advising is accomplished by holding large group meetings by class. Students are also welcome to make an appointment for individual advising by calling (508) 910-6874. Juniors and Seniors seek academic advising from the Undergraduate Program Office and are assigned a faculty member who acts as the student career advisor. A list of faculty advisors is available in the Program Office. Freshman and Sophomores may visit the Academic Advising Center located in the Foster Administration Building for assistance from the College faculty.
The office is currently staffed by Trish Goltermann, Coordinator who can be reached at (508) 999-8427 and Paul Viera, Student Advisor who can be reached at 508-910-6956 or pviera@umassd.edu, as well as departmental administrative assistants for each field of study.
