Charlton College of Business Capital Campaign

The Charlton College of Business at UMass Dartmouth is a growing enterprise. Enrollment is increasing, the faculty is expanding, and we are adding new programs and pursuing a broader range of initiatives. The rate of progress is breathtaking. So what's missing? A Building for Our Students. Through the kindness of E.P. (Chuck) Charlton II, the Trustees of the Charlton Charitable Trusts have set up a matching opportunity for every gift to the campaign up to $1.5 million that will 'jump start' the construction of this new addition to the Charlton College of Business. We hope you'll join us in supporting this extremely important endeavor while becoming an important part of this new expansion.

Designated Gifts

The Charlton College of Business also welcomes donations for a specific fund or program. You may choose to direct your contribution to a department, a particular student scholarship fund, a seminar series, as well as other specific opportunities.

Annual Fund

Annual gifts provide important unrestricted funding to the college and campus-wide initiatives. These gifts support programs that foster interaction and partnerships between students, faculty, alumni and industry, such as undergraduate research, senior projects, guest lectures, seminars and Student Organizations such as DECA, SIFE, Finance Club and OMIS.

Corporate Giving

Corporations represent an integral source of funding for the Charlton College of Business. Depending on your corporate goals, you may be interested in providing financial support as well as marketing opportunities for the capital campaign, student programs and activities, undergraduate scholarships within your industry focus, student recruiting and professional development, college events and outreach activities.

Matching Gifts

You may be eligible to increase the size of your gift through the corporate matching gift program at your company. Matching gifts are another important source of support for the college. Please consult with your human resources officer to learn about your company's policy.

Gifts in Kind

The Charlton College of Business gratefully accepts a wide variety of non-cash, material donations that support the academic mission of the College. Gifts of tangible personal property - for example, books, equipment or other items of value - that are donated for related educational purposes are recorded at their fair market value.
