Frequently Asked Questions
1. Sometimes, I get an error message that says, "Invalid Token" and can't go any further. What happened and how to I fix it?
You have used the Back key in a sensitive area or have tried to open the site twice. For security purposes, Chalk & Wire does not allow duplicate sessions. The software may "detect" a duplicate session if you use the Back key. Log out, make sure no other sessions of C&W are running, and try again. Keep in mind that you should not need to use the Back key as you navigate most areas of the site.
2. What do I do if I forget my password?
On the login page, click on the link: Click here to recover it. If you created a password hint when you were asked to do so, the system will send you an email. If you did not create the hint, email ephelp@umassd.edu for help.
3. I tried to place an artifact on C&W, but the software would not complete the upload. What do I do?
You may have tried to upload an unusual file type or a file that is too large. C&W restricts file sizes to 10 MB or smaller. If your file is larger than this, go to the Student Help Directory and use the directions under Managing Files. The Student Help Directory is on the Services page where you go just after you log in. Find the link, note the password you'll need to access Help, click on the link and login using your name and the password.
If you are using an unusual file type, email ephelp@umassd.edu. Provide the name of the software and the extension. You'll receive a response from the UMass Dartmouth help staff.
