Dr. Chan Du joined the faculty of Department of Accounting and Finance at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in Fall 2009. She received her Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Boston University in 2006. Before she joined UMass Dartmouth, she was an assistant professor of Department of Accountancy at the Craig School of Business in California State University, Fresno. She teaches courses such as Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Introduction to Financial Statement Analysis and Firm Valuation, and Financial Statement Analysis. Her research interests include executive compensation, corporate governance, earnings management, risk taking, and investment. Her work has been published in journals such as Journal of International Money and Finance, Review of Business Research, International Journal of Management, Journal of Business and Economics Research, American Journal of Business Education, and Academy of Educational Leadership Journal, and presented at conferences such as the American Accounting Association (AAA)'s Annual Meeting and AAA Region Meeting.
