Richard F. Golen

A Professor of Business Law in the Earle P. Charlton College of Business. He teaches courses in the Legal Framework of Business. His areas of interest/specialization include employment law.

Professor Golen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth in 1974, his Masters of Business Administration degree from Suffolk University in 1976 and his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1983. He has been on the University of Massachusetts faculty since 1983.

Professor Golen is actively engaged in the application of natural processes to reduce nitrogen pollution in compliance with the Clean Water Act of 1970. He has also served as a volunteer for the Buzzards Bay Coalition and is a member of the Dartmouth Conservation Commission.

Professor Golen has taught at the University of Kassel, Germany and is a Professor Invitee at the University Pierre Mendes-France, Grenoble.

Currently, he is the Department Chair for the Management and Marketing Department within the college.
