Dr. Pegnetter is serving as the Interim Dean at the Charlton College of Business. Previously, he was the Founding Dean of the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University in SW Florida. His academic area is conflict resolution and industrial relations. He has published numerous articles on mediation, arbitration, and public sector labor relations, and he is a nationally certified arbitrator in labor-management disputes. He served as Interim President of Florida Gulf Coast University in 2007. Prior to Florida Gulf Coast University, he was dean of business at Colorado State University and an associate dean of business at the University of Iowa. A strong proponent of global business education, while in Colorado and Florida, he established business school and university relationships with schools in Germany, France, Mexico, Sweden, and China. He has been very active in building economic development partnerships between the university and business communities. Frequently selected for national conference speaking and accreditation roles by AACSB International, he also served on the statewide Board of Regents for Leadership Florida.
