Professor Susanne G. Scott received her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Cincinnati in 1993 and joined UMASS Dartmouth in 1998. She previously taught at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, the University of Dayton, and the Helsinki University of Economics and Business. Prior to obtaining her Ph.D., she spent approximately 10 years in Quality Assurance and Materials Control Management in a number of major corporations and approximately 10 years in independent consulting and training.
Dr. Scott's research has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, including the Academy of Management Review, The Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Her current research focuses on individual, group, and organizational identity, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Dr. Scott a Professor of Management for the Charlton College of Business.
Dr. Scott resides with her husband, Robert, and her three basset hounds in rural Rhode Island where she enjoys gardening, gourmet cooking, and two grandchildren.
