Jangwon Suh is an Assistant Professor at Accounting and Finance Department in Charlton College of Business. He teaches courses such as Cost Accounting and Principles of Accounting. His current research interest is focused on how the worldwide adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) affects reporting qualities. He is also interested in other fields in accounting, such as cost accounting or comparability between IFRS and US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). His papers are under review of the top accounting journals, including The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research.
Before joining UMass Dartmouth, he taught at Baruch College, the City University of New York (CUNY) where he also earned MPhil and PhD degrees in Business (Accounting). He has four years of professional experience at Financial Supervisory Service, which is a capital market supervisory body in South Korea. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Korea University in Seoul, South Korea.
