GODWIN ARIGUZO - Ed.D. (University of Massachusetts), M.B.A. (Marshall University)
Dr. Godwin Ariguzo is a lecturer in the Marketing/Management Information Systems Department and Special Assistant to the Dean of Charlton College of Business. He earned his doctorate in Higher Education Administration (2000) from the University of Massachusetts Boston, his M.B.A. (1984) in Business and Commerce, and B.B.A. (1982) in Marketing from Marshall University. He also holds a Certificate of Exporting (1992) from the New England Export School and Massachusetts Port Authority. His research interests are in supply chain management, seafood marketing, e-commerce, international business, knowledge management, and academic administration. His has co-authored publications in the Information and Management Journal, the International Journal of Logistics Systems and Management, the International Journal of Business Information Systems, and in numerous conference proceedings. He was the recipient of the 2005 Charlton College of Business Higginson Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2005 University-wide Leo M. Sullivan Teacher of the Year Award.
He was a recipient of a $250,000 grant (only 8 awarded nationally that year) from Microsoft Corporation to develop and implement computer training programs which received numerous regional and national awards as an exemplary program for helping bridge the digital divide in the Southcoast region. Over his career he has written and administered more than $4.5 million in grants. He is an entrepreneur who has operated various business ventures of his own. He maintains a close working relationship with the business community in the region.
