Efrem G. Mallach, Ph.D. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)

Dr. Mallach is Associate Professor of Management Information Systems, Charlton College of Business, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University, an MBA from Boston University, and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Mallach spent most of his career in the computer industry, with positions such as Director of Strategic Planning for Honeywell Information Systems, Division General Manager for General Systems Group, and CEO of Kensington Group, Inc. His teaching experience includes four years at Boston College and eleven years at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he served as department chair for Manufacturing and MIS. His papers have appeared in a variety of magazines and journals. He is also the author of two widely-used textbooks on Decision Support Systems. His research interests include system conversion and the impact of industry analysts on the IT industry.
