International Business

Offered as: minor

Explore new cultural, educational, and career opportunities when you decide to minor in international business. You'll gain exposure to international business through a combination of:

  • foreign language study
  • international experience
  • course work

The international business minor is open to Charlton College of Business students and non-business students who complete the necessary business foundation courses and course prerequisites.

Foreign language requirement: You must demonstrate proficiency in the foreign language of your choice through the intermediate level (202), or you may elect to test out of the language requirement.

International experience: You can pursue one of the following options:

  • An approved university-sponsored overseas program such as the summer in Portugal program or the Hessen Exchange program
  • A summer, semester, or year abroad at a partner university
  • MKT 362: Global Marketing: An E.U. Perspective - International Summer University at Wolfsburg, Germany

Course work: For the minor, you'll complete a total of 21 credits (7 courses) consisting of 12 credits in business foundation courses, 6 credits in economics or political science, and 3 credits in an international business course. NOTE: The language requirement may require additional coursework.
