These guidelines are designed to assist students who plan to purchase computers by providing minimum specifications for the primary hardware components for both desktops and laptops. Monitor/screen size, video cards, sound cards, etc. should be selected based on personal preference and intended use of the computer.

As a student, staff or faculty member of UMass Dartmouth, you can take advantage of lower prices on computer and electronics equipment from select U$ave program vendors. These prices are only available to UMass students, faculty and staff, and only on select equipment.
Special pricing is available online for personal (students/faculty/staff) and institutional purchase.
