All UMass Dartmouth myCourses faculty have access to this information via the myCourses Faculty Resources and Collaboration site.
The Claire T. Carney Library and CITS Instructional Development have recently collaborated to create reusable online tutorials that can be used within your myCourses site(s) along with self assessments that can optionally be recorded via the grade book tool. You can link to the tutorials at the Claire T Carney Library website at, http://www.lib.umassd.edu/find/tutorials/libinstructonline.html or you can insert the tutorials directly into your myCourses site. All UMass Dartmouth myCourses faculty have access to this information via the myCourses faculty Resources and Collaboration site.
Adding Tutorials to myCourses site(s) If you would like to add any of these tutorials and/or their associated self-assessments to your course site, you can simply add them using the Add File feature and select the file from the Repository area. Adding the self assessment as a SCORM module allows you to keep a record of your students’ self assessment grades directly in your myCourses grade book and run reports from the SCORM tool. These tutorials can be viewed in the myCourses Faculty Resources and Collaboration site and can be directly imported into your myCourses site(s) from the myCourses Repository > Faculty Resources folder. Please see the following documentation for instructions on how to import learning modules, Using the Import Tool-myCourses.pdf or view a demonstration on how to import learning modules into your course site(s).
Available Tutorials Student Orientation- A learning module that introduces students to the myCourses platform, navigation and tools such as assessments, discussion boards, chat and submitting assignments. Writing Resources-A learning module developed by Professor Jen Riley that provides information on documenting and using sources, tips for academic writing assignments, sentence construction, revising work, and punctuation assistance.
