UMass Dartmouth Starts Ruckus

UMass Dartmouth has joined Ruckus, a leading digital multi-media entertainment network, to offer students a way to download digital music and other entertainment--safely, legally and at no charge.

  • Designed specifically for college and university students
  • Access more than 3 million music tracks, with new music added every week
  • Personal friends network to share songs and entertainment interests
  • Residential students have access to the Ruckus film catalog

To start using Ruckus, UMass Dartmouth students simply:

  1. Go to the Ruckus registration page and select UMass Dartmouth.
  2. Authenticate as UMass Dartmouth students by entering their UMassD Logon (email username and password).

After registration, students can sign in directly at the Ruckus logon page.

For those wishing to play downloaded songs on portable players

There is "Ruckus-To-Go" where music can be downloaded to PlaysforSure compatible players for just $20.00 a semester. A list of compatible players is available here

For UMass Dartmouth students who wish to burn songs to a CD

Individual tracks may be purchased for .79 to .99 cents per track or $9.99 per average album.
