All students, faculty and staff receive an email account username and password. This username and password is also the UMassD Logon for many other services described here. Students receive their username and password notification in the mail; new faculty and staff request UMassD logons by contacting Access Management via email or at 508-999-8528 (x8528).

UMass Dartmouth residence hall students who wish to have their computers operate on the university's network must authenticate themselves (using the UMassD Logon) and register their computer's network hardware address. More information

Faculty, staff and students owning notebook computers may apply for a wireless network account. They will use the UMassD Logon to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network) password.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access is granted to those members of the university community who are acting as web page developers or maintainers. Developers use the UMassD Logon to connect to the UMass Dartmouth servers.

The Content Upload Management system is used by university web developers. The UMassD Logon is used to authenticate their access.

UMass Dartmouth faculty and staff members have access to this system for submitting and tracking facilities work orders.

Survey Builder allows users to create and administer online surveys. It is available to UMass Dartmouth faculty, staff and students. Students must be sponsored by a faculty or staff member to use Survey Builder.

Meeting Maker is a calendar tool available to faculty and staff at UMass Dartmouth. To request a Meeting Maker account, contact Access Management by email at cit_am@umassd.edu or by calling 508-999-8532 (x8532).

All Library services and resources that require a log-in for off-campus access use the library's Proxy Service, which uses the UMassD Logon. For other Library services, you may need to use the library bar code number on your UMass Pass. (Visit the Library's circulation desk if you don't yet have a library bar code.)

UMass Dartmouth faculty and staff may use the profile tool to enter and/or update descriptive profiles of their education, research interests, publications, awards and more. The profiles share information within the university community as well as to prospective students and faculty members.

COIN is UMass Dartmouth's system for student information: course registration, schedule of classes, account information, degree progress, application for graduation and more.

UMass Dartmouth offers both fully online and blended courses (face-to-face classes with an online component) through the myCourses learning management system. Students enrolled in these courses will receive login information and instruction packets via their UMass Dartmouth email accounts.

eReserves is the Library's electronic reserves service, which lets students search for and view documents that faculty members have placed on reserve. Class-specific usernames and passwords are assigned by individual faculty members.

Voyager is the Library's own online catalog, while the Virtual Catalogs allow you to search for and borrow materials at other libraries. Both require the Library's bar code number on your UMass Pass. (Visit the Library's circulation desk if you don't yet have a library bar code.)

OmniUpdate is UMass Dartmouth's web page content management system. Web site maintainers using OmniUpdate will receive instructions on how to set up their passwords as part of a training session. More information

Finance is the university's system for financial and administrative services. More information

UMass Pass is the official university identification card. It may be used to borrow books from the library, to access the athletic center, to enter one's residence hall and to eat at the residents' dining hall. When funds are deposited to a student's UMass Pass account, the card may also be used as a cashless way to make purchases both and off campus.

WebStudent is the information system for student financial aid data. It will be replaced by COIN in spring, 2006.

A number of UMass Dartmouth online courses are conducted through Course Builder. (Others are conducted through Web CT Vista.)

Use ReservIt when you need to schedule an event on campus or when you need to order food or technical services. ReservIt allows you to enter all pertinent information regarding your event and will show available spaces, based upon your time, date and headcount. If you require additional resources, such as food or technical services, you may request those as well.

HR Direct is a web-based human resources system that provides the ability to view personal information, update emergency contact information and view pay advice--all online.

ECRT is a web based system that guides users through the certification process. ECRT will interface with HR, grants and accounting data to provide accurate and complete data for certification. Additional information regarding training and the go live date will be forthcoming.

Resource 25 (R25) is a professional-level system that enables you to securely manage class and event scheduling campus-wide.
