Emergency Contact Verification Holds

As a result of increased awareness of security issues of all kinds on University campuses, UMass Dartmouth is initiating a process to require students to provide and/or verify Emergency Contact information on a regular basis. This information will be used to contact indicated individuals in the event of an emergency involving any student on campus. As of the start of the Spring Semester 2008, all students able to enroll at UMass Dartmouth will have all Registration/Add/Drop/Swap a Class activity restricted by a Service Indicator(Hold) applied to their account. The Service Indicator(Hold) may be "self released" by students through COIN by verifying their Emergency Contact information.

For help releasing the Service Indicator(Hold), a job aid has been posted on the COIN Student website.
