a difference
by simply being a friend.

Just  fill out a Volunteer Form and send it to:

What a difference a friend makes!

Read about one student-volunteer's experience this year:  Martin Cotti's Compeer experience

During 2010 SouthCoast compeer volunteers contributed over 3,000 hours providing supportive friendships to over 375 adolescents and adults in the SouthCoast area who are experiencing mental illness. This population is very isolated and most individuals with mental illness never have contact with anyone other than a mental health provider or someone else with mental illness. Compeer provides caring relationships outside of this very limited experience. These relationships can be a powerful bridge towards recovery from mental illness.

"Everyone can be great because anyone can serve.  You don't have to have a college degree to serve.  You don't even have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve... You only need a heart full of grace."
Martin Luther King. Jr.
