Workshops
- Faculty can request a workshop for a class. Our staff will "substitute" for faculty and provide a class on time management, developing
a megamemory, stress management, team building, communication skills, or test taking skills. Other workshops are available by request. We will also provide freshmen classes with career interest testing, at the instructor's request. Faculty can schedule class workshops by calling X8650.
- Residence Assistants can arrange for a workshop in the residence halls. Workshops on interpreting dreams, deciding if a relationship
is ready for intimacy, communicating about sex, relaxation training, and planning your career have been popular offerings in the past. Other topics can be arranged by request.
- We offer a workshop designed to help students choose a graduate or professional program, navigate through the application process
and finance their education each semester. Interested students should call X8650 and ask to be put on the mailing list for this workshop. Training - Counseling Center staff are available to provide training programs for faculty and staff and for student groups.
- We provide training to RA's and Orientation Leaders each year.
- Student clubs and organizations can request team building, leadership and/or communication skills training for their members.
Consultation to Staff and Faculty

- Consultation and referral for personal, family, or workplace related issues.

Our Staff are licensed psychologists and counselors. We also have interns from masters and doctoral programs. A psychiatrist is available two mornings a week for consultation and to prescribe medication.

Our Services: are free and confidential Hours: 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mon. thru Fri., during the semester, with extended evening hours till 8 p.m. Tues. and Thurs. 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer. Walk-in Hours are 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
