Gail L. Berman-Martin, Ed.D. Director

Gail L. Berman-Martin is the Director of the Career Resource Center, overseeing all the facets of the office's services including career planning, professional development, employer relations and recruitment, and community service. She holds a Doctorate in Education in Higher Education Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from Bridgewater State College, and a B.A. in Russian from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She has more than twenty-five years experience as a career counselor, educator and university administrator. Also, she is very active in community and service organizations throughout the Southcoast.

Robbin Roy, M.Ed. Associate Director

Robbin holds a Master's degree in Counseling from Bridgewater State College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now Umass Dartmouth). Robbin has worked in higher education for over 25 years. Her main area of focus is assisting students with internship placements and opportunities. She is the campus liaison for the Walt Disney College Program and The Washington Center Program. Robbin serves on The Washington Center's Law Program Academic Advisory Committee. She also coordinates the off campus College Work Study Program.

Anthony M.A.Baird, M.Ed. Assistant Director

Anthony M. Baird is the Assistant Director of the Career Resources Center at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has been a member of the UMass Dartmouth Community since 1993. Anthony received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Utica College of Syracuse University and earned his Masters Degree in Education and Counseling from Bridgewater State College. He is currently working on his Doctorate Degree at UMass Amherst. His focus is in Education, Policy, Research and Administration.

Deirdre Healy Community Service Coordinator

Prior to joining UMass Dartmouth, Deirdre had 10 years of community service experience first as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic and following as recruitment staff with Peace Corps and Americorps. As a southcoast Resident she is delighted to be working engaging students, staff and faculty in our wonderfully rich local community.

Colleen M. Wetterland Staff Assistant

Colleen M. Wetterland is the Staff Assistant for the Career Resource Center at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Ms. Wetterland received her Bachelor's Degree in Humanities & Social Sciences from UMass Dartmouth. Ms. Wetterland worked at The Swain School of Design for four years before Swain merged with the University in 1988. Before joining the CRC in April of 2001, Ms.Wetterland worked in the Registrar's Office from September 1988 till 2001. Since April 2001, Ms. Wetterland has been a part of the CRC as the Off-Campus Employment Coordinator and Student Outreach Coordinator.

Carol Faria Administrative Assistant

Carol Faria is the Administrative Assistant for the Career Resource Center at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Carol provides administrative and clerical support to the Director, Associate Director and the entire department. She is responsible for a variety of administrative duties necessary to run the office efficiently. Carol serves as the information manager for the Office, scheduling meetings and appointments and organizing and maintaining files. She assists in coordinating special Career Resource Center events including the Career Expo, Work ‘n Serve Job Fair and Etiquette Dinner. She works with the Associate Director to assist students interested in the Experience Program, which provides an internship opportunity that promotes active learning and application of academic skills.

Elizabeth 'Betty' Goodine Recruitment Secretary

Betty has been in the Career Resource Center since 2000, previously working in the Registrar's Office. She deals with agencies from the Off-Campus Community Service Learning Work Study Program. She assists the Community Service Coordinator with the AmericaReads program. She is also the Recruitment Secretary dealing with recruiters, scheduling recruiter dates, information sessions and interviews for the Employer On-Campus Recruitment program. Helping students is what she loves doing.
