CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:
FEDERAL JOB LOCATION & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
A portion of federal funds is set aside to operate and maintain the Job Location & Development (JLD) program. The purpose of this program is to assist students in locating part-time jobs both on and off campus. The Career Development Counselor, located in the Career Development Center, is available to assist students who have Federal Work Study awards and students with no work-study award. The operation of this program allows all students to take advantage of employment to help with expenses while obtaining valuable work experience. A job posting board advertising local job openings can be found in the Career Development Center and is updated weekly with new opportunities. Go to: www.umassd.edu/cdc click on ‘for students’ click on ‘experience’ and log-in. Career counseling, testing, and job search assistance is also available.
