Who Should Apply?

The Application Process
- Attend a mandatory TEACH! information session
- Complete a UMass Dartmouth Graduate Certificate Program Application
- Required Essay: Submit an essay describing your professional goals and your commitment to teaching in an urban middle or high school
- Application Fee: $40.00 payable to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
- Upon notice of preliminary acceptance by the TEACH! Program Director, submit:
- MTEL program exam scores
- Two recent letters of recommendation (one of which addresses either your experience or potential to work with middle or high school populations)
- Proof of a completed bachelor's degree (official transcript) from an accredited institution of higher education with a GPA of 2.75 or higher
- MTEL program exam scores
