About CVPA Dean's Greeting

Dear CVPA Alumni, Friends and Guests:

On behalf of the College faculty and staff I would like to extend to you a warm New England welcome!

This website is designed to inform you of the programs supported by our six academic departments. Many of these programs are recognized nationally as well as regionally, offering competitive graduate and undergraduate programming. As you view our site you will learn about the creative and academic opportunities made possible by the College that support the mission of the University, and in the case of the world-class Star Store facility, serve as a catalyst for regional economic development.

I would like to personally invite you to join us for the upcoming events and activities hosted by the College. Juried exhibitions on campus and in New Bedford, guest performances, and invited lectures are regularly updated on this site for your information. All activities are free to the public and accessible.

Since my arrival at UMass Dartmouth in August 2007, I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you at CVPA sponsored activities on the Dartmouth campus and at Star Store in New Bedford. Please be sure to introduce yourself whenever our paths cross - I am always excited to greet our many alumni and friends, and to meet our first-time guests.
