
MFA Visual Design
The MFA in Visual Design emphasizes communications and problem solving. Students explore visual communications in the widest sense of the word. Faculty, representing a wide variety of philosophies and viewpoints, work together with students, providing a rich and thought-provoking graduate experience. The modern visual designer must be broadly educated, articulate, and literate in today's competitive field, and UMass Dartmouth faculty are well versed in traditional and electronic design technology.
Students in the MFA program in Visual Design may specialize in one of the following fields: Digital Media, Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Typography. A minimum of 60 credits is required.
