Textile Design Resources

The combination of academic and studio education prepares students for many art and industry design career choices across the broad field of textile design and fiberarts, including private art studio production.

Graduates are skilled in use of CAD systems, hand rendering and coloring, and technical production in weaving, printing and dyeing. They have been competitively placed in important textile career positions concerned with design for woven and printed home furnishings, interior accessories, wallcoverings, apparel and costume.

Successful alumni are frequent visitors to the studios and supporters of student internships. Textile Design is an important background for other careers such as interior design or fashion design.
