ANTHONY FISHER: Biography
Anthony Fisher, Assistant Professor in Fine Arts, received his MFA from Yale University in 1986 and his BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1982. Prior to joining our faculty full-time, he taught all levels of painting and drawing as a Visiting Lecturer here at UMass Dartmouth and at Tufts University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston from 1999 until the present.
Fisher's main focus is painting, his current work explores various themes of the self through metaphors in the still-life. His most recent solo show took place in New York in November 2007, he received a review of his work in Art News in January 2008. His work is included in numerous private and public collections. He lives with his wife and two sons in Newton, MA.
