Marcelle Gauvin is an internationally sought after jazz/contemporary commercial music styles voice specialist and has been a member of UMass Dartmouth's Music Department since 2002.  She holds an Associate Professor position at Berklee College of Music, hired as a voice retraining specialist and has been a faculty member at the Shenandoah University's Contemporary Commercial Music Summer Institute for the last six years.  She is a master class clinician and an internationally sought after private instructor/vocal coach with many clients who have national recordings, tours and television appearances to their credit.

As a performer, Marcelle Gauvin is a well respected jazz vocalist with several recordings in her discography. She has performed with jazz greats and her recordings receive both national & international airplay and reviewed in such publications as JazzTimes, All About Jazz, Jazz Hot, JazzUSA, Jazz Quarterly, 52nd Street Jazz, Cadence Magazine & Jazz Review. She has appeared as a headliner at festivals & concerts throughout the United States and is a well known member of the northeast US jazz circuit.  Marcelle also owns Doublebar Music, a private music school located in Westport, Massachusetts dedicated to making musical opportunities available to all with a desire to learn.
