Bill Plympton is an animator, graphic designer, cartoonist, and filmmaker considered the King of Indie Animation, and the first person to hand-draw an entire animated feature film. He has created over 40 animated short films and seven animated features. Plympton received Oscar nominations for the animated shorts, “Your Face” and “Guard Dog.” In 1991, his film “Push Comes to Shove” won the Cannes Palme d’Or, and in 2001, another short film, “Eat,” won the Canal+ Award for short films at Cannes Critics’ Week. Plympton also collaborated with Madonna, Kanye West, and “Weird Al” Yankovic on a number of music videos and book projects.
